About Sunnyhill

Sunnyhill is a home for curious ideas. A growing collection of web projects, playful experiments and underground music, all taking shape in the same basement in West Lower Saxony, Germany.

Room for an idea

A shared listening room. A little browser arcade. A digital identity folded into a piece of paper. Sunnyhill brings together ideas that follow different paths, with a place to grow, be tried out and shared.

Some become useful tools. Others are games, odd little experiments or tracks to turn up loud. The collection grows wherever curiosity leads.

One basement. Many directions.

The Playground and the music live in the same basement. Code, sound and design feed into each other: a love of music becomes a listening room; an interest in small payments becomes an arcade.

It’s an independent, underground mix, made in spare time. There’s room to play, change direction and spend a little longer on a strange idea just to see where it goes.

Open connections

The Playground brings together educational and art projects that demonstrate how to use Lightning and Nostr. Learning happens through participation: playing a game, sharing music or trying a tool. Self-hosting is part of that hands-on exploration. Open protocols let separate ideas connect, while each project keeps its own character. Privacy and the freedom to run things independently matter here.

The best way to get to know Sunnyhill is to wander through it. Try something in the Playground, listen to the music, follow a connection. There’s always another idea taking shape.

The dude behind it

Sunnyhill is Satoshidude’s hobby alongside his freelance work. A web designer, engineer and operator with over 25 years of experience working for municipalities, German state governments and individual clients. Also a basement music producer and a dude who likes to play around with LND and Nostr.

Ideas, feedback and a simple hello are welcome.
